⚠️ Spam Email Warning ⚠️
Posted: 30 July 2026
Members are advised to remain vigilant following reports that some individuals may be receiving spam emails relating to the NFAS.
Please remember:
• The NFAS will never ask you to provide passwords via email
• The NFAS will never contact members requesting payment or money transfers via unsolicited email messages
• Be cautious of unexpected emails requesting payments, account verification, or personal information
• Always check the sender’s email address carefully
• Do not click links or open attachments unless you are confident the email is genuine
• When in doubt, access NFAS services directly through the NFAS website
If you receive a suspicious email claiming to be from the NFAS, please report it to the Committee and delete the message.
Suspicious emails can also be forwarded to the UK Government’s Suspicious Email Reporting Service at:
report@phishing.gov.uk
Further information on phishing scams and how to report them can be found here:
https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/collection/phishing-scams
Online scams are becoming increasingly convincing, so we encourage all members to take a moment to verify communications before responding.
Many thanks
NFAS Committee
